"The Luxembourg Connection" of HEC Liège
The latest edition of the magazine SPIRIT of Management by HEC Liège recently highlighted Luxembourg. "The Luxembourg Connection" highlights the impressive presence of over 1,500 HEC Liège alumni in Luxembourg, showcasing not only their inspiring career paths but also the abundant professional opportunities offered by the Grand Duchy and its highly dynamic ecosystem. In his interview, Ambassador Jean-Louis Thill shares his vision of Luxembourg's dynamism, its influence and the rich ties it has forged with its neighbours, particularly Belgium.
Several key lessons emerge: over 1,500 HEC Liège alumni are actively shaping industries such as finance, technology, real estate, and consulting within Luxembourg; the government has committed around 300 million euros in action plans to support start-ups, scale-ups, and deeptech ventures; HEC Liège, along with partners like LHoFT, LPEA, and the House of Training, invests in MBA programs, fintech certificates, and local collaborations. Luxembourg also makes it easier for talent to thrive through streamlined administration, open networking opportunities, childcare facilities, and tax incentives. Overall, the ecosystem is characterized by its speed, openness, and focus on international success.
