Teleworking: new declaration procedure to the Social Security
The Joint Social Security Center has launched a new website to enable employers to declare the telecommuting status of their cross-border employees. This initiative is a response to the recent European agreement that aims to increase the threshold for participating countries from 25% to 50%.
To make the declaration, employers will need to access the newly launched website, https://www.teletravail.ccss.lu/, starting from July 1st. They will be required to complete an online form by logging in with a token. The token will be sent to companies through postal mail "in the coming days."
In the event that any employer does not receive the token by July 1st but still wishes to declare the telecommuting status of their non-resident employees, they can get in touch with the CCSS via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
