Member news: WDP finalises a share exchange with the Luxembourg State following the redevelopment of the Eurohub site
The Luxembourg State and WDP Group have signed an agreement to finalise a share exchange, marking a new stage in their cooperation initiated in 2016, following the redevelopment of the Eurohub site.
As part of this agreement, WDP becomes the sole owner of WDP Luxembourg SA, while the State acquires the SISA Foetz site, located in the Foetz business area near the Technoport.
The joint venture WDP Luxembourg SA was created to develop logistics space at the Eurohub South site in Bettembourg/Dudelange, contributing to strengthening Luxembourg’s position as a multimodal logistics hub. This partnership enabled the development of nearly 140,000 m² of modern logistics infrastructure.
The acquisition of the SISA Foetz site is part of a strategy to develop, in the medium term, facilities dedicated to industrial SMEs, scale-ups and deeptech companies, in connection with the Technoport. For WDP, the transaction is part of a broader effort to simplify its structure and continue expanding its activities in Luxembourg.
