Luxembourg: one of the world's leading green finance centers
Luxembourg has been a leader in the field of green finance for many years. In the Global Green Financial Index for 2021, the country is placed 2nd in the EU and 5th globally. This success is due in part to the country’s hosting of The Luxembourg Green Exchange, the world's first and leading platform dedicated only to sustainable securities. About half of the world's green bond market, as well as a third of all sustainable and social bonds, are traded on this platform.
