Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR): “Optimizing processes using AI and data analytics” with innovators of the Luxembourg tech ecosystem
On September 16th, a lunch meeting was held as part of the Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) network, an initiative led by Startup Luxembourg and the Ministry of the Economy, with the support of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The initiative aims to connect key executives and corporates with Luxembourg’s most promising scale-ups to generate business opportunities and relational value.
Over time, the project seeks to build an active international community of individuals and companies connected to Luxembourg, leveraging the networks of Luxembourg’s embassies and business clubs. Participating scale-ups will accelerate their development in key European markets while contributing to the growth of Luxembourg’s start-up and scale-up ecosystem. The EiR network is part of the roadmap for developing the start-up ecosystem launched in 2023.
This particular event was organized by the Luxembourg Embassy in Belgium, the Belgium-Luxembourg Business Club, and Startup Luxembourg, with the presence of the Ministry of Economy of Luxembourg.
Three scale-ups showcased Luxembourg’s tech ecosystem: Circu Li-ion, INUI Studio, and Datathings. They explored how AI can optimize industrial processes from different angles, demonstrating tangible operational and economic benefits:
- Circu Li-ion’s mission is to recycle batteries, and AI is widely used in the disassembly process, helping also to progress towards a circular economy. Automated disassembly could allow collection scheme, 2nd life companies, dismantlers, and recyclers to scale up efficiently.
- INUI Studio offers a solution for customer support using a hybrid AI-based / proxy-agent model via touchless screens. The customer experience uses AI with an emotional matrix to efficiently answer their needs. The AI recognizes for example when it is best to hand over the customer to a remote human agent.
- Datathings codes and trains their own AI models to use existing infrastructure to its full capacity. This can optimize daily operations, offer features to enable tomorrows' flexibility and next generations of dynamically negotiated tariffs. The Kopr Twin solution, digital twin for electricity distribution and transmission networks, is built on top the sovereign GreyCat technology.
