Economic and Financial Outlook: Stagflation – Yes (maybe). Paralysis – No!
On 12 May, we had the pleasure of welcoming numerous participants for an insightful evening dedicated to current economic and financial perspectives, highlighted by a particularly enlightening keynote by Philippe Ledent, Senior Economist at ING Belgium, on the theme: “Economic and Financial Outlook: Stagflation – Yes (maybe). Paralysis – No!”.
A special thank you to Bram Debruyne, Head of Sector Coverage Belux at ING Belgium, for initiating this gathering and bringing the community together, in his capacity as Board member of the BCBL Business Club Belgium-Luxembourg and reflecting ING’s role as a founding member of the Club. The evening was also introduced by Rik Vandenberghe, President of the BCBL, who benefits from long-standing ties with ING Belgium.
The program combined high-level economic insights with rich discussions and exchanges, followed by a guided visit of the Marnix Art Collection, built over decades and now comprising more than 2,500 works of modern and contemporary art from the 1960s to today. A unique setting that added another dimension to the evening. Special thanks also to the guides for the visit.
The evening concluded with a walking dinner on the 8th floor, offering a breathtaking view over Brussels.
A great opportunity to connect and continue strengthening ties within the BELUX business community.
