Webinar "The Luxembourg Economy: Perspectives and Challenges", 11 February 2026

The Business Clubs of Luxembourg-Germany (BCLD), France-Luxembourg (BCFL), Belgium-Luxembourg (BCBL) and Luxembourg-United Kingdom (BCLUK) are delighted to host a joint webinar and warmly invite their members to join an online session featuring insights and an outlook on the Luxembourg economy, in collaboration with the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC).

Speaker
 

Tom Haas became Director of STATEC on October 26, 2024, after more than fifteen years within
the Institute. Throughout his career, he has built recognized expertise in economic, social and
environmental analysis and policy evaluations. He has represented STATEC in numerous
institutions and meetings at the national level (Tripartite meetings, Economic and Social
Council, Chamber of Deputies, etc.) and at the international level (United Nations, European
Commission, OECD, IMF, etc.).

He held successive positions as Analyst and Research Officer before being appointed Head of
the Modeling and Forecasting unit in 2020. In 2023, he became Head of Department and joined
STATEC’s Executive Board. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Economic
Modeling and Econometrics from the University of Montpellier, followed by a Master’s in
International Economics from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, and culminates with
an Engineering Diploma as Economic-Statistician from ENSAE Paris, France’s leading Grande
Ecole in Statistics and Economic Administration.
